The artworks comprising the series the "Wafers" (2019) use a wafer as a painting background - in the Christian tradition treated with special anointing, belonging to the sphere of the sacred. Here is a neutral white sheet, an ideal basis for free drawing - made with a ballpoint pen, almost casually, nonchalantly, were created from bored. The next stage was to photograph the resulting works and enlarge them to over two meters high prints. In this significant rescaling, the works acquired a completely different overtone. They show some significant omissions in iconography and naivety in depictions related to the cult of saints.
